Not just a camp, some social engagement carried on in Morristown during the Revolutionary War as historic figure Alexander Hamilton courted and wed his bride, Betsy Schuyler. Not just famous for its role in the Revolutionary War, Morristown also was the setting for of the most important inventions ever, Samuel F.B. Morse’s and Alfred Vail’s development of the first telegraph at the Speedwell Iron Works on January 6, 1838.

Though years later, Morristown still holds on to portions its historic past with its many seasonal festivals and activities.
