Check all asphalt and concrete driveways for cracked and uneven sections. Asphalt driveways need to be sealed with a driveway sealer every two or three years to prevent them from drying out and cracking. Repaving an asphalt driveway can be expensive. If the driveway needs to be repaved, tell the client to get an estimate prior to closing on the house.

If there's an underground drain at the base of the driveway look at it to see if it's clogged. Often you'll find these drains filled with leaves and dirt. Some driveways don't have a finished surface and are made of gravel and dirt. Often they have holes that are tripping hazards that need to be repaired. Unfinished driveways can lead to people tracking dirt into the house and they can't be shoveled for snow removal in northern areas.
