Russ Whitney Las Vegas speaker Marshall Sylver indicted on nine felony counts

At Russ Whitney’s Web site, he is advertising his Wealth Building Conference 2003 at Las Vegas on August 21-24, 2003. One of the featured entertainers and speakers is “Marshall Sylver” whom Whitney describes as “…a respected business consultant and the creator of the number 1 personal development program worldwide.”
“Marshall Sylver’s” real name is Marshall Sylwesterzak. I know this and the following from the Nevada Attorney General’s news release announcing a grand jury indictment of “Sylver” on nine felony counts of obtaining money under false pretenses. In particular, he allegedly obtained money under false pretenses via his “Millionaire Mentorship Program.” You can read the news release yourself at http://ag.state.nv.us/agpress/2003/03_0414.pdf. Grand jury indicts Marshall Sylver on Nine Felony Charges
Las Vegas—Attorney General Brian Sandoval announced today that the Clark County Grand Jury returned an indictment against Marshall Walter Sylwesterzak, a.k.a. ‘Marshall Sylver,’ accusing him of nine (9) felony counts of theft by obtaining money under false pretenses. Felony counts involve thefts of $250.00 or more. The charges are derived from some of the business practices associated with Sylwesterzak’s “Millionaire Mentorship Program.”
Sylwesterzak, or Sylver, has advertised his “Millionaire Mentorship Program” on radio, the Internet, and through other seminars, as a 10-week intensive program, wherein participants will receive personal, one-on-one “millionaire mentoring” to learn the skills necessary to become a millionaire. Sylver has claimed that his program is an “elite course” and that only qualified individuals who are “pre-interviewed” will be allowed to take the course. Sylver also advertised that his program has money back guarantee: if a participant does not double investment in the program within three months, Sylver will provide a full refund. The program costs ranges from $4,500 to $6,000.
The indictment alleges that Marshall Sylver refused to honor his promised money-back guarantee, that he did not provide the promised mentoring and that he did not pre-interview anyone for the “Millionaire Mentorship Program.”
Theft by obtaining money under false pretenses is a category “C” felony and carries a sentence of one to five years. If convicted on all charges, Sylver faces up to forty-five years in prison. As with all criminal matters, allegations are merely accusations, and individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Unfortunately I believed all of their LIES and FRAUDULENT CLAIMS and I paid thousands of dollars to go to his "training camps". Needless to say I was clearly ripped off, cheated and lied to by Russ Whitney and his employees (band of thieves). My mistake was not searching the Internet to find out more about Russ Whitney and his company's HORRIBLE reputation for fraud, deception and illegal activities. Had I searched online I would have found out about THOUSANDS of customers being cheated, HUNDREDS of investigations by the Attorney General into the fraud of Russ Whitney and his company's, and that Russ Whitney himself is a CONVICTED VIOLENT FELON and spent years in PRISON. I saved the cached pages from the major search engines of the John Reed lawsuit with Russell Whitney and the TRUTH and FACTS that Reed discovered during his investigation of Whitney. I am posting this information on real estate discussion boards so other people do NOT get cheated and ripped off like I did.
