Dan Kelly goes public in Russ Whitney dispute against John T. Reed

On 11/4/03, the Fort Myers (FL) News-Press published an article about Russ Whitney’s lawsuits against me. A man who described himself as one of Whitney’s “friends and colleagues” wrote a letter to the editor in support of Whitney and denouncing me. His name is Dan Kelly.
Mr. Kelly’s name appears many times in Whitney’s early books like Overcoming the Hurdles and Pitfalls of Real Estate Investing and others with similar titles. However, whenever I referred to Mr. Kelly, I did so as “Whitney’s Schenectady friend who move to Florida with him” or similar phraseology. I did not say his name because I thought he might have reverted to being a private person after being so publicly in Whitney’s early books.
Apparently not, or if he has been a private person, he decided not be with regard to the Whitney-Reed dispute. By having a letter to the editor published, he restores the public-person status he had when he was originally in Whitney’s books.
So whenever you read reference to Whitney’s Schenectady friend who moved with him to Florida in my Web articles about Whitney, substitute the name Dan Kelly. As I recall, that would be with regard to Whitney’s involvement with the Confederation Of Organized Purchasers and Mr. Whitney’s early real estate deals and financing in Schenectady and the Fort Myers area.

Unfortunately I believed all of their LIES and FRAUDULENT CLAIMS and I paid thousands of dollars to go to his "training camps". My mistake was not searching the Internet to find out more about Russ Whitney and his company's HORRIBLE reputation for fraud, deception and illegal activities. Had I searched online I would have found out about THOUSANDS of customers being cheated, HUNDREDS of investigations by the Attorney General into the fraud of Russ Whitney and his company's, and that Russ Whitney himself is a CONVICTED VIOLENT FELON and spent years in PRISON. I saved the cached pages from the major search engines of the John Reed lawsuit with Russell Whitney and the TRUTH and FACTS that Reed discovered during his investigation of Whitney. I am posting this information on real estate discussion boards so other people do NOT get cheated and ripped off like I did.
