Did Russ Whitney go to Cuba?
A couple of readers have reported to me that Russ Whitney visited Cuba.
Is there anything wrong with that?
Maybe. It depends.
The United States has a number of extraordinary laws regarding who can visit Cuba and what they can do when they are there. Click here to see a summary of them.
My understanding is that a U.S. citizen needs a permit to visit Cuba legally. I also understand that such permits are granted only to certain categories of persons like those with relatives who live in Cuba, journalists, athletes who are competing in Cuba, and so forth.
I also understand that even persons who obtain such a permit are very restricted as to what they can do while in Cuba.
I am told that Whitney went to Cuba on or about November 22, 2002 by boat from Key West.
Readers of this Web site have been a bountiful source of information in my defense against Whitney’s litigation against me. Here is what I am trying to find out from readers about this matter:
• Did Whitney go to Cuba?
• If so, when?
• Did he have U.S. government permission to go there?
• How did he get there?
• Why did he go?
• How did he conduct himself on the boat?
• How did he conduct himself in Cuba?
• Did he make any statements to U.S. Customs officials regarding a trip to Cuba?
• What money, if any, did he spend while in Cuba?
The general tone of Whitney’s litigation against me is that he is an upstanding citizen and respectable businessman and that I have illegally hurt him by suggesting otherwise. If he broke any laws with regard to Cuba—five months after initiating litigation against me—it would be relevant in court.
Thanks,

CONSUMER WARNING NOTICE: I recently saw Russ Whitney on a late night TV infomercial and then attended one of his "free" seminars. Unfortunately I believed all of their LIES and FRAUDULENT CLAIMS and I paid thousands of dollars to go to his "training camps". Needless to say I was clearly ripped off, cheated and lied to by Russ Whitney and his employees (band of thieves). My mistake was not searching the Internet to find out more about Russ Whitney and his company's HORRIBLE reputation for fraud, deception and illegal activities. Had I searched online I would have found out about THOUSANDS of customers being cheated, HUNDREDS of investigations by the Attorney General into the fraud of Russ Whitney and his company's, and that Russ Whitney himself is a CONVICTED VIOLENT FELON and spent years in PRISON. I saved the cached pages from the major search engines of the John Reed lawsuit with Russell Whitney and the TRUTH and FACTS that Reed discovered during his investigation of Whitney. I am posting this information on real estate discussion boards so other people do NOT get cheated and ripped off like I did. |
