One-man truth squad follows Russ Whitney’s free seminars around Wisconsin

Recently, I posted an article in which I said the most effective tactic for fighting back against Russ Whitney appeared to be to picket his free seminars and hand out leaflets with undeniable facts about Whitney and his companies.
In a case of great minds running in the same channels, a Wisconsin man did just that shortly before I put that article at my Web site. I know because the Wisconsin State Journal wrote an article about what he did and a reader told me about the article. It was written by Jason Stein and published on April 13, 2005.
‘Lot of fun’
Glen Loyd spent a week following Whitney Education Group around Wisconsin. Loyd gave presentations on the sidewalk in front of hotels from Green Bay to Milwaukee telling about Whitney’s unsatisfactory record with the Better Business Bureau. Loyd said, “I really had a lot of fun this week. It was exciting.”
Whitney staff called the cops
As I predicted in my article about this “truth squad” tactic, Whitney’s traveling staff called the cops. Apparently, Whitney does not include any discussion of the First Amendment freedoms of speech, press, and assembly in the training of his “front-end,” “free,” come-on seminar staff. The basic idea of the U.S. Constitution is that people like Loyd are free to publicly state whatever facts and opinions they wish.
No local staff
It might also have been helpful if Whitney had a local person involved with their traveling carpetbaggers. Had they done so, they would have known that the guy on whom they were about to sic the cops is a Wisconsin state official, namely, he is a long-time spokesman for the Wisconsin Division of Trade and Consumer Protection.
Investigating Whitney
In a phone message on my answering machine, Loyd said that the State of Wisconsin is investigating Whitney and that he will send me the results when they are finished. He also told me to, “Keep up your good work.” Thanks, Mr. Loyd. You do the same.
‘Hurting our business’ says Whitney suit
Supporting my claim that this appears to be the most effective tactic is a quote in the article from John Kane, a Whitney corporate big shot. Kane told the Journal that Loyd was “hurting their business.” As I said in my previous article, Whitney has also complained that the tactic was effective in court papers against me.
TV star
Having a local Wisconsin person on staff would have enabled them to recognize Loyd—not because he is a Wisconsin official. He would have been recognized because he has been a Green Bay TV consumer reporter (WLUK and WFRV) for 40 years. He is so widely recognized that the director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection is often asked if he works for Glen Loyd. (It’s the other way around.) Loyd is 65, has been shoved, threatened at gunpoint, and sued (unsuccessfully) six times and he still keeps on investigating. My kinda guy!

CONSUMER WARNING NOTICE: I recently saw Russ Whitney on a late night TV infomercial and then attended one of his "free" seminars. Unfortunately I believed all of their LIES and FRAUDULENT CLAIMS and I paid thousands of dollars to go to his "training camps". Needless to say I was clearly ripped off, cheated and lied to by Russ Whitney and his employees (band of thieves). My mistake was not searching the Internet to find out more about Russ Whitney and his company's HORRIBLE reputation for fraud, deception and illegal activities. Had I searched online I would have found out about THOUSANDS of customers being cheated, HUNDREDS of investigations by the Attorney General into the fraud of Russ Whitney and his company's, and that Russ Whitney himself is a CONVICTED VIOLENT FELON and spent years in PRISON. I saved the cached pages from the major search engines of the John Reed lawsuit with Russell Whitney and the TRUTH and FACTS that Reed discovered during his investigation of Whitney. I am posting this information on real estate discussion boards so other people do NOT get cheated and ripped off like I did.
