| I'd like to learn about condo conversions. What criteria make an apartment building a good candidate for conversion, what determines success or failure, etc.. Would appreciate any sources of information. |

What makes a successful conversion of an apartment building to condominiums or co-operatives depends on many factors. The risk level of the investment, the research and analysis of the local and national markets, the skill and abilities of the investor(s) and people that are the decision makers for the project, type of financing obtained, cost of construction and other expenses, etc. So it's hard to tell you specifically what will make a conversion project successful or not since all of those factors and especially your local market will have an effect.
