- Residential MD System®. Engineered specifically for residential construction, the system incorporates a drainage plane between the secondary weather-resistive barrier and the insulation board that allows for incidental water to weep to the exterior. The system’s insulation board substantially increases energy efficiency, the manufacturer says, and provides design flexibility for such exterior details as entranceways, window borders, arches, columns and sculptured looks.
- Spring MD System® features insulation board that is mechanically fastened over a code-approved weather barrier over plywood or OSB substrate with fasteners that provide maximum wind load performance. A drainage plane between the secondary weather barrier and the insulation board creates channels for a quick exit of incidental moisture.
