AARST - American Association of Radon Scientist and Technologist Consortium The AARST (American Association of Radon Scientist and Technologist) Consortium was created to bring together the stakeholders in the radon industry, so that they would have the opportunity to collectively create radon testing and mitigation protocols. The EPA has decided to allow the private sector to create and maintain new protocols, so they can to take a step back from the monitoring and policing of the industry. After three years the AARST stakeholder group (which includes scientists, manufacturers of radon testing equipment, radon mitigators, regulated & non regulated state representatives, NEHA, NRSB, and home inspectors "testers") developed the "Protocols for Radon Measurement in Homes.” This document is more detailed than earlier versions of radon testing and mitigation protocols produced by the EPA.
