Kevin McHargue is a member of Baron & Budds appellate section. He has defended several multi-million dollar verdicts on behalf of mesothelioma victims and workers injured by asbestos and other toxic substances in courts throughout the country, including Texas, Louisiana, New York, and Wisconsin. In 2003, Kevin co-authored an amicus brief filed by Trial Lawyers for Public Justice in Norfolk & Western Ry Co. v. Ayers, 588 U.S. 135, a case that preserved the common law right of plaintiffs in asbestos cases to recover fear-of-cancer damages. He serves on the board of directors of the Texas branch of the American Civil Liberties Union and is a volunteer attorney for the Lambda Legal Defense Fund.
