| The U.S. government has introduced a single site for government-owned foreclosed properties at: http://www.HomeSales.gov In the past, various agencies have posted listings scattered across many sites. The website was developed as a joint project led by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), developed by the USDA, and confirmed by the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Procedures for bidding on a foreclosed home vary slightly, depending on which government agency has the foreclosure.
