Log Construction Standard Up For Public Review The International Code Council (ICC) has released a draft of the much-anticipated Log Construction Standard for public review.
The public comment period began on June 3 and will end on July 18. Once accepted by the ICC, the standard will become part of the International Residential Code and be enforced across the country. Anyone involved with the log homes industry is encouraged to review the draft and consider its impact on their business. NAHB’s Log Homes Council, which has played an active role in developing the standard, is urging all of its members to review the draft standard and reply with any comments within the 45-day public comment period. For more information or to register any questions or comments with the Log Homes Council, e-mail Jeremy Bertrand or call him at 800-368-5242 x8353; or speak to someone on the Log Homes Council staff on x8576. |
