Long Beach Water Manager Volunteers Home for Landscape Makeover

11/17/2004
As the Water Manager for the City of Long Beach, California, Kevin Wattier decided to set an example for water conservation during a recent home remodel.
In fact, Wattier volunteered his yard for a California-friendly makeover that’s been documented for a two-part video series will air on public access cable stations throughout the state during the fall and winter, when outdoor water waste is most prevalent.

The program captures the remarkable transformation of Wattier family's Belmont Shore home from an ordinary garden space to a California-friendly sanctuary. The video series follows Kevin and his wife, Julie, as they plan and carry out the makeover of their front and backyards to showcase native and California-friendly landscaping, as well as the latest water-saving irrigation technology.

The video can offer you easy-to-follow, how-to instructions too.

Go to: http://www.mwdh2o.com/tap/index.html and select one of the video types on “A California Friendly Garden Makeover.”
