MyNewPlace Introduces Online Service That Lets Renters Reserve an Apartment Sight Unseen Renters are now able to view floor plans, check the prices and availability and place a reservation on apartments in select properties
RISMEDIA, July 13, 2006—One of the inconveniences of apartment hunting is going from place to place and finding that the apartments are either already rented or have 20 other people in line to rent the same apartment. MyNewPlace, a new, easy-to-use online apartment-listing service with more than six million apartments, now makes it possible for apartment seekers to conduct online and real-time availability checks of apartments and put reservations on them.
The real-time insight into apartment availability on MyNewPlace's is made possible through integration with Vaultware, the central reservation system for the apartment industry developed by Realty DataTrust. Renters are now able to view floor plans, check the prices and availability and place a reservation on apartments in select properties that use Vaultware. As a reward for using the new online reservation system, renters receive a $25 Starbucks card in addition to the customary $100 cash-back upon signing a lease.
This is also in addition to the coffee gift cards offered in MyNewPlace's summer contest "Wake Up and Smell the Free Rent(TM)."
"There's an ever-increasing expectation among Internet users that they can get what they want -- when they want it -- with a simple click of the mouse. Until now, that's been pretty tough to do when it comes to finding an apartment. Our new service effectively lets apartment seekers get the apartment they want when they find it on the Internet at MyNewPlace," said Micki Seibel, director of product & user experience of MyNewPlace. "Of course, they still have to check out the apartment and sign the lease offline."
MyNewPlace, which launched May 1, continues to set the pace for innovation in the online apartment rental industry. It remains the first and only online apartment-listing service to offer integrated mapping and power-search features along with a clean, ad-free user-interface. |
