| Instructors and students from the Potomac Job Corps Center, the Francis Perkins Job Corps program at the U.S. Department of Labor and the Woodland Job Corps Center in Laurel, MD, worked side by side with board members and their families, including HBI Chairman Jim Sattler as well as District of Columbia Mayor Anthony Williams and NAHB staff. Sattler joined the mayor, Annette Rayburn and former NAHB Executive Vice President Kent Colton for brief remarks during the build. “We are proud to be part of Family Build again this year — helping another local family realize the dream of owning a home,” he said. “This valuable hands-on experience enables our Job Corps students to give back to the city, and to apply the very skills that will earn them a good living one day,” he added.
