RE/MAX Debuts New Site With Unique Features by Blanche Evans
Taking franchise support in a new directions, RE/MAX is debuting a complete re-design of its site, www.remax.com, the sixth since the company went online in 1995. The new site follows up on RE/MAX chairman Dave Liniger's promise last August that the organization would become totally electronic. The new site is "one-stop shopping for buyers, sellers, and real estate agents," said Liniger. Among many new features is the addition of Internet lender E-LOAN, on board to power a comprehensive lending center for U.S. visitors to remax.com. Both companies are look forward to international opportunities in the near future, said a spokesperson. Having an association with E-Loan will enable RE/MAX agents to offer almost instant loan pre-approval to their clients. Visitors to the site can receive recommendations to determine which loan product might be best for them. After selecting a loan, the borrower completes a simple application form and submits it online. A personal Loan Consultant assigned by E-LOAN then assists the borrower and real estate agent through the loan process. Another new feature is the addition of news to the site. Realty Times will provide daily consumer and industry news and information to the retooled RE/MAX site. Locating a qualified real estate agent promises to be easier than ever, with personal biographies available on each of the 57,000 plus RE/MAX agents available in the RE/MAX Roster online. Other services designed for RE/MAX professionals are also included. Kristi Graning, vice president of web services and technology marketing, said, "We have invested almost at year in development and now offer a truly dynamic, constantly changing web site. If it involves "shelter," it's on remax.com." |
