Senco Unveils Cordless DuraSpin Decking Tool 02/12/2004
When powered-fastening pioneer SENCO unveiled the latest addition to its popular DuraSpin collated screw-driving family earlier this year, the tool quickly earned kudos for outstanding design and great performance.
Now, that same high-powered decking and sheathing system is available in a cordless model - the SENCO DuraSpin DS300-24V. Professional remodelers, contractors and even DIYers will appreciate the speed and performance of the 3000 RPM collated screw system, which delivers 50 drives between reloads.
The DS300-24V delivers 24 volts of power to reliably drive 1-1/4" to 3" screws into even the toughest work surfaces, including composite decking materials. It's the ultimate tool for decking, floor sheathing, underlayment and cement board installation. Users also appreciate the easy-to-use trigger lock for continuous operation.
Thanks to its advanced ergonomic design and built-in adjustable height extension, the DS300-24V can be used comfortably all day by just about any user. The radical new design positions the user's hand directly over the screw's drive path, which creates an extremely smooth drive as pressure is transferred directly through the screws. The tool's ease-of-use has been frequently described by testers as "effortless."
Other features include simple depth-of-drive adjustment, a reverse switch to back out driven fasteners and SENCO's patented heavy-duty clutch. The DS300-24V is covered by a one-year warranty and comes complete with spare drive bits, wrenches, spare non-slip nose pads and a rugged carrying case. Each kit also includes two 24-volt batteries and a sturdy recharger. The complete kit retails for $379.
