A ‘Tale of Two Cities’: Neoscape Makes a Second Home in Manhattan Company also doubles its Boston footprint
RISMEDIA, July 28, 2006—Neoscape, Inc. has announced that it is greatly expanding its Boston base and opening its new doors in New York City. These milestones reflect the sustained growth of a unique creative studio that evolved continually over the last 11 years. In the mid-90s, Neoscape was a four-person shop creating digital still renderings for real estate clients. Today, Neoscape is a 45-person studio producing films and rich media for the likes of Harvard University, the Museum of Fine Arts-Boston, the New York Olympic Organizing Committee, and, of course, ever more real estate clients.
“A ten year old company in this industry is a mature enterprise,” said Rob MacLeod, president of Neoscape. “With a decade of business experience behind us, it's an ideal time to grow."
Neoscape is working with the architecture firm Single Speed Design to double the size of their studio in Boston, adding creative space, as well as constructing a state of the art project theatre. In New York City, Neoscape has recently acquired 3000 square feet at 18 East 17th Street, with plans to add new staff.
At the core of their business offerings is a simple premise: tell a good story by visualizing that which has yet to be built.
Honored with a Gold Medal for the best real estate marketing film of 2005 at The World Media Festival in Hamburg, Germany (for the Plaza Hotel), Neoscape shared the podium with some of the world’s most respected creative agencies. And, this on the heels of receiving a CINE Golden Eagle for best advertising/marketing film of 2005 (Loft 5 – Vegas). The CINEs are distinguished as awards conferred on filmmakers by other filmmakers, and as such are highly coveted by professional producers.
Never content with producing “the last best thing”, Neoscape is committed to growing its studio in depth, as well as breadth. To that end, it has recently added creative services that include logo design, brochure creation, mailers, interactive DVDs, floor plan tools, Websites, as well as brand consulting.
“Our work is appropriate for any industry,” says MacLeod. “We simply look at the most effective way for a potential customer to have an emotional reaction through storytelling, using very sophisticated digital techniques…and the tradecraft of classic filmmaking."
