Wallpaper Pro Hopes To “Cut” a Deal With Blade-Eater Invention 01/14/2004
Mary Kay Hansen has invented a tool that is truly cutting edge. It allows the user to snap and store used utility blades safely and quickly using only one hand. She hit upon the idea after going through 40-50 blade snaps in a day, and began to devise a more efficient way to organize the knife and get a new blade.
BLADEater® is selling through the Internet http://www.BLADEater.com and 52 retail stores. The complete set sells for $14.99, and includes a knife, holster, and 13 snap-off blades.
Lowe's, the home improvement warehouse, will test market her product in stores, but she is also looking for a licensee.
