Wisconsin Real Estate Heats Up With The Weather - 5/24/2005 - Real Estate House Home Condo

Wisconsin Real Estate Heats Up With The Weather
by Blanche Evans

A Realtor who sells real estate in the towns of Appleton, Fremont and Greenville, Wisconsin says that a country atmosphere near big city conveniences is what many buyers want today as she sees home sales heating up.

"As the weather heats up so does our market," says Realtor Dawn Kent. "Home sales remain strong and interest rates are still very favorable."

Appleton

About the Appleton market, Kent says, "The Appleton area offers an enjoyable atmosphere for entertainment, jobs, and shopping." She continues, "It looks like another great year for home sales. Sales remain strong and interest rates are low. Although the year started with an extremely high inventory of homes on the market, the strong spring sales have got them back in line. More than 30 percent of the homes on the market are over $200K. The market still offers a number of homes for buyers to choose from in all price ranges."

Fremont

"Fremont offers affordable housing, small town atmosphere, and an easy commute to the Valley," relates Kent. "Sales are slightly up over last year. The Fremont/Weyauwega area offers affordable housing with 25 percent of current homes on the market being under $100K. The Wolf River is a huge draw to this area, offering plenty of entertainment, from water ski shows, fishing, and boating to outdoor dining. The white bass run will be here soon if the temperatures rise a little, so get your poles ready!"

She adds, "The new highway has made Weyauwega/Fremont a centrally located hot spot, making the commute to Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, Oshkosh, and the Stevens Point area a breeze. New businesses are popping up making the area a great place to live."

Greenville

"This small town is located minutes from Appleton offering a country atmosphere with big city conveniences," offers Kent. "Greenville continues it's growth. Lot sales in the "Waterlefe" subdivision remain strong, and with the roads being completed soon in Phase II of Waterlefe, we expect to see another cluster of homes go up before our eyes. Watch for our opening of the "Beacon Hills" subdivision, offering one-half to one-acre lots reasonably priced between $29,900-$39,900 with sewer and water. Over 50 percent of the homes on the market are over $200K. Homes are selling quickly, so act now!"
