Best Image Marketing has been in business promoting top Realtors since 1983. The company introduced lead generation Web packages in 1995, making Best Image among the first to understand and execute viable Internet marketing strategies for real estate professionals. The company offers premium custom Web sites, as well as marketing services such as search engine placement and banner ads for the Internet, a strategy it says will become even more important with IDX listings published on personal Web pages.

According to Lawrence Schoeffler, chief operating officer of Best Image Marketing, Realtors are going to have to deal with the coming shakeout of local real estate sites. "We are seeing that now at the national level, and it will happen more aggressively at the local level. The Realtors with more visibility, credibility and content on their Web sites are going to win at the local level," he says.

Best Image Marketing's unique business model has always concentrated on promoting brokers and agents with a certain level of production, transaction sides, and years of experience. "Our clients are what makes us special," explains Schoeffler. "These folks are heavy hitters - with an average of $13 million a year in sales, 70 transactions a year, and they have an average of 12 years experience."

The company also distinguishes itself by separating site costs and marketing costs. The 3.0 sites are about $4,000 plus monthly hosting and servicing fees.

"There is a site cost and then the marketing cost," explains Schoeffler. "The Web site is functionality and that doesn’t have anything to do with marketing. You have to have site placement in search engines, banner ads, paid-for searches, web positioning in search engines, participation in Number1Expert.com, listings with MSN HomeAdvisor, and Yahoo and all that sends traffic back to our clients' sites. It is a complete package."

"That's why we only target the top Realtors," he continues. "They want the best content and we are going to bundle in the Real Estate-Realtor Times custom news feed and newsletter, and it will make our 3.0 (premium Web sites) sites the best local real estate destinations. They will have news, homes, market data, and the sites will be in-depth."

The company has 25 local employees who provide customer service, editing, building and marketing and an outside sales force of 17. Best Image currently supports a customer base of about 1,100 agents.
