Image Text: Extend these shingles 12 inches past centerline and do not nail within 6 inches of centerline > glue shingles in valley area with 3 inch wide band of asphalt cement > ideally, this should be the steeper and/or larger section of roof > cut shingle corners > roll roofing - 3 feet wide or double felt layer nailed at edges > lower slope or smaller roof > cut shingles back 2 inches from centerline
