Russ Whitney' emergency motion for preliminary injunction to shut down Reed' Web site On May 13, 2004, Russ Whitney filed a motion for an emergency preliminary injunction to enjoin [stop] "John T. Reed from operating the Web site known as https://www.johntreed.com. The various papers filed by Whitney on that day weighed two pounds. The federal judge in Fort Lauderdale in charge of the case gave Reed until 5 P.M. on Tuesday May 18, 2004 to respond. That means Reed has to ship the response by Fedex by 5P.M. on Monday May 17, 2004 to meet the Tuesday deadline in Fort Lauderdale. Since Reed got Whitney' papers around 10:30 AM on Friday, that means he has 78.5 hours total"”only 14.5 of which are business hours, to research, write, format, and ship the response. Reed asked for an extension and the judge agreed to give Reed unil 5 P.M. on Friday May 21, 2004. If the judge finds Whitney' two pounds of paper more persuasive than Reed' response, this entire Web site, including 485 pages that have nothing to do with Russ Whitney, will disappear off the face of the earth. So if the Web site, or part of it, does disappear in the near future, you will know why. John T. Reed on real-estate-investment information John T. Reed, a.k.a.
